It’s almost September’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and a fitting time to announce our ongoing support of Adelaide’s Childhood Cancer Association.

Today’s $100,000 donation from The Lott by SA Lotteries will help the association move to a permanent office as well as fund more of its incredible work providing 30-plus tailored services – including counselling, accommodation and educational support – to children with cancer and their families.

“When a child is diagnosed with cancer, their entire childhood is affected,” CCA Chief Executive Cath O’Loughlin said.

“And the impact flows onto the whole family – the parents, siblings, grandparents and even extended family members, each one requiring support to help them cope.

“It's because of the generosity of businesses like The Lott that children impacted by cancer, and their families, can receive the critical care services they need at the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment and into life beyond cancer treatment.”

Our Partnerships Manager Liz McPherson said it was a privilege to help the CCA support hundreds of families every year.

“Knowing that one child a week in SA is diagnosed with cancer is incomprehensible, but the critical services that Childhood Cancer Association provide plays such an important role in the lives of those affected by a childhood cancer diagnosis,” she said.
