We welcome our newest community partner Greening Australia with a $150,000 donation to help fund their landscape restoration programs which allow nature to thrive.
The not-for-profit has 40-plus years of experience improving the biodiversity and climate resilience of local landscapes affected by habitat loss, overuse of resources, climate change, pollution and invasive species.
“We are incredibly grateful for The Lottery Corporation’s support that will advance our work to restore Australia’s natural landscapes and enhance our environment for future generations,” Greening Australia CEO Heather Campbell said.
Our Head of Community Partnerships & Environmental Initiatives Hans de Koning said we had a responsibility to drive positive and sustainable change for our communities, environment and products, and our support of Greening Australia was another step in our sustainability journey.
“Customers have told us that they want The Lott to contribute to positive environmental efforts – that’s why we’ve developed partnerships with organisations such as WIRES and The University of Queensland’s Seagrass Research Project," he said.
“This partnership with Greening Australia is a further commitment to our customers, retailers and staff that we value and recognise the need to minimise our environmental impact as a business and help support where we can.”
