Our community partner My Room has kicked a massive goal, raising a record $5.2 million for children with cancer at the 2024 My Room Grand Final Spectacular telethon on Channel 9.

We're thrilled to have been part of the event, celebrating our sixth year of support for the Victorian volunteer-run organisation with a $100,000 donation from The Lott by Tatts.

"It's shocking to realise that cancer is the leading cause of death among children in Australia, but the efforts of My Room in supporting the children's cancer community are crucial,” our Partnerships Manager Liz McPherson said.

“Their work truly reflects the dedication of their mission, volunteers and generous donors. The donation from The Lott by Tatts contributes to ensuring that families and children receive the specialised care they need.

"It’s incredibly rewarding to see the positive difference these funds make."

My Room CEO Margaret Zita OAM said the funding brought hope to kids fighting cancer.

“The Lott’s strong support and shared values help us work together to truly make a difference for families facing tough times,” she said.

“What an incredible total to have raised and with this, it will continue to help us lessen the burden of this journey for families and make the prospect of a cure for all childhood cancers stand even closer than ever before.”
