Helping grant 38 wishes to brighten the lives of sick kids

Wishes do come true thanks to the Starlight Children’s Foundation and its Wishgranting program for seriously ill and hospitalised children.

We’re honoured to today help brighten the lives of more sick kids with a $250,000 contribution from The Lott by Golden Casket unclaimed prizemoney that enables 38 Starlight Wishes to be granted.

“A Starlight Wish is a once-in-a-lifetime experience leaving the pain of treatment and hospitalisation behind, and replacing it with fun, joy and positive memories for the whole family,” Starlight’s Queensland Partnerships Manager Danica Bennett said. 

Our Partnerships Manager Liz McPherson said the program’s impact was in providing normality and a sense of hope for the future.

“Every child deserves to have a fun-filled life and being sick shouldn’t be a barrier to this; thanks to Starlight Wishes, hope and joy is created, which enhances their quality of life,” she said.

“I’m so proud to support Starlight in granting these wishes, with the $250,000 funding allowing the foundation to continue to positively change the lives of sick kids and their families, even if it's just for a day.”
