Today’s World Kindness Day is a celebration of community goodwill and putting the kind into humankind.

Kath Koschel, founder of the Kindness Factory, personally experienced the transformative power of kindness during her most challenging times - recovering from two severe back injuries and coping with personal loss. Her journey inspired her to establish what has grown into an international not-for-profit that champions simple acts of kindness.

We’re proud to again donate $50,000 to the Kindness Factory today to support its Kindness Curriculum which is used by more than 3,500 schools across Australia, the USA and the UK to promote positive mental health practices.

"Put simply, we couldn't do what we do at Kindness Factory without the support of The Lott,” Kath said.

“We are into our third year of partnership together…lives have been changed, and most importantly, the profound impact of kindness has been felt by many in Australia who need it most."

Our Partnerships Manager Liz McPherson said today’s donation was on behalf of our customers, retailers and staff.

“Not everyone knows that kindness is scientifically grounded, and this principle drives the initiatives at the Kindness Factory,” she said.

“A smile, simple yet powerful, can profoundly affect someone's day in our community. We’re delighted to make this donation to help the Kindness Factory continue to foster smiles and positive interactions within our community.”
